Late Model, Prewar Mauser Broomhandle
I've got a late model, prewar Mauser in decent condition. Completely German, not Chinese or those other types of broom handles.
I beleive all of the serial numbers match so it is not a refurb/repair. It should be all original. Any clue what one of these would fetch? I'm looking to sell mine so wanted to get a ball park figure. I can post a picture, but just looking for a range I should expect to sell it for. If anyone wants, I can post a pic anyhow just for fun. Thanks! |

Somewhere around a $1000 and I've seen 'em in the $1200-$1400 range for originals in excellent shape.

It's a 7.63 Mauser.
Pic's are coming in just one sec. |
Re: Late Model, Prewar Mauser Broomhandle
I'm uploading pic's now. The different thing about this mauser is that it does not use stripper clips. It's loaded from the bottom and you pop open a plate. From there you load in the bullets and put the plate back on.

http://bopnz.com/stiz/ From here if you can gather any other info it would help me greatly as I am currently looking to sell it and I don't want to take too little for it or over price it. Thanks! |
Re: Late Model, Prewar Mauser Broomhandle
Do you have the wood holster?
Looks like it is a 20's commercial model to me |
Re: Late Model, Prewar Mauser Broomhandle
Nope, not holster. This is all I have. I looked up the serial on one of the websites and it was a 20s or 30s model if I remember correctly. It's amazing how many different variations and types of these things they made.
